PIXI & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse Review

Skincare is a priority in my ‘beauty routine’. Since all the hype, I’ve wanted to try the PIXI & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse Cleanser for a few months. And hey, I finally got round to picking it up and what a fab little cleanser it is.

My skin type is dry-normal, just as a reference point.

So what exactly is it like? I’ve been using the Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse for 2 months now and I’m honestly so impressed. Firstly, the packaging and layout makes me want to actually double cleanse, because it’s all in the same tub. It also cuts down costs just generally if you want to double cleanse and is more travel-friendly.

You get a cleansing oil that’s like a balm, but slowly becomes an oil as you use it. You use the cleansing cream after, as part of the double cleanse, then I use a face-cloth to get it all off at the end. I follow this with the PIXI Glow Tonic, which has also featured on my blog.

Used well, both of these get rid of all makeup (it actually does!) and feels super lovely on the skin. My skin doesn’t feel super tight and these products feel gentle, but do give a good cleanse. Hence the double cleanse in the name, ahem.

The price is £24 on Cult Beauty so it isn’t your high-street price. For that, you get 100ml (50ml x2 of each side) which you may be thinking ‘hey that’s a little on the pricey side right?’. Yes, it isn’t the cheapest. This pot will last me 2 and a half months probably used in the evening. However, I have also been using it in the morning, when I can’t fit another cleanser in (e.g. when travelling).

Do I think it’s worth it?

Yes. It’s in my list of favourite cleansers anyway. If you’re looking for a new cleanser, I’d definitely give it a go.

You can buy it here.
