Havin’ A Ball: My Personal Recommendations for formal attire!

My post GCSE prom was shockingly bad at my old secondary school. The school at the time was in quite heavy financial troubles and I remember certain things being cut at the prom do itself. I didn’t go for a ‘traditional princessy’ prom dress and opted for something a little more subtle in which I will upload the pictures at a later date in which you can see me in true ginger style.

I am going to my second-ever ball this week! I have been incredibly excited for a while, sometimes dreading it (social anxiety), but all in all, I have high expectations to enjoy myself. Scouting for Girls and Ella Eyre are also playing at this do, woohoo! Here I present to you my ball dress, it’s quite fancy, schmancy and I can’t wait to properly don it. I am not quite sure how to do my hair for this event, if anybody has any suggestions?!

The dress itself is from Chi Chi London and is (Β£65), my shoes are from New Look and are so comfy for formal wear! Chi Chi London style their dresses very early Dior style, opting for full skirts for the most parts. I found the site easy and the order arrived quite quickly!chi chi clothing, prom dress, ball dress, attire, university, formal

As I have said before I also cannot fit into most camera lens in my bedroom, as I’m tall as, therefore I can’t do outfit shots properly at the moment, until June πŸ™‚
If anybody could give me any suggestions on how to do my hair that would be fab!

Love the colour of this dress with your skin tone! (Chi chi are great aren’t they!) maybe embrace your gorgeous curls and pull one side back with some little diamond Bobby pins?🌸✨x

  • Lovely dress πŸ™‚ I would put your hair up if I were you! Maybe let some hair fall down, but mostly an up-do!
