LUSH Face Masks are a real treat for me. Not only are they pretty good, but they’re also an excuse to go into LUSH and buy things I don’t need. This is exactly why I bought the LUSH Oatimix Face Mask.
Lush’s Oatimix face mask is intended for dry/sensitive skin. If you’ve ever found face masks to be drying in any way, this one is super lovely to provide a little bit of exfoliation, but still moisturising. For myself, this doesn’t really feel like a cleansing face mask. It’s definitely more aimed at dry skins rather than oily ones.
‘This gentle, nourishing mask is made with fresh bananas and illipe butter to moisturise dry skin. Oatmeal, ground almonds and kaolin work together in a mildly exfoliating base to eradicate dead skin, leaving you soft, supple and moisturised.’
I also surprisingly like the smell of this face mask. Initially, I was put off by how it looked like my morning bowl of porridge, but on trying it I got past that quite quickly. This mask also doesn’t ‘set’, which means if you’ve applied a particularly heavy layer, it will start dropping off. Which instantly reminds me of this scene from Mrs. Doubtfire, where the face mask just falls off.
After being curious about the Oatimix face mask for a while, I’m definitely glad I picked it up. Whilst I didn’t quite love it as much as my Rosey Cheeks Face Mask, it’s my No.2 from LUSH. If your skin is seriously sensitive – Try the Oatimix Face Mask, not Rosey Cheeks.
On a side note, I’m sorry if my writing in this blog has been a little less passionate recently. Life gets in the way as I’m sure you all know and I lost my passion for blogging for a while. BUT I’M BACK!
