Getting Nautical with Sleek Cosmetics

Some of us are in complete denial that Summer has officially ended and we want to cling on to it, which is more of an excuse to buy limited edition summer collections. Sleek’s Nautical Collection is one that I would not usually go for, but I was really struck by the shades of the collection. I haven’t bought Sleek products in quite a while and their new packaging has really attracted my interest.

So here I am givin’ them some lovin’.
Sleek, Nautical Collection, Review, Cosmetics, makeup, Beauty, cruelty free, colour eyeshadows, lipstick

lipstick, sleek, red lipstick, cosmetics, mac, lady danger,The eyeshadow palette from the collection is titled ‘Calm before the Storm’. Whilst blue eyeshadow may tend to remind you of your first dealings with makeup, I honestly think coloured eyeshadows are neglected too much. I absolutely fell in love with these colours and Sleek does well-pigmented eyeshadows best, because there are far too many coloured eyeshadows out there without the colour pay-off.

The bottom right palette is titled ‘Santa Monica’. I’ve always struggled with blush for my skin-tone and quite a bit of the time, it’s a step I completely skip. However these are fantastic. The colours are perfect for my freckled, pale, not-quite-sure-what-skin-tone-I-am skin. The top colour I will most definitely be using up into the Autumn months as it very much reminds me of Nar’s Dolce Vita.

Jesus Christ, who never told me how good Sleek’s lipsticks are? An absolute must-have. This shade is a semi-matte formula called ‘Reddy to Sail’. This shade is exactly the same as my mac Lady Danger and honestly, I prefer the formulation of this lipstick more. Whilst you could possibly say that Lady Danger is a tad bit more ‘electric’ in colour, this is just urghh so good. It’s also quite a neat little packaged lipstick, the product isn’t stretched out into a fancy tube where the top will just come loose in the bottom of my handbag (I’m looking at you YSL). It’s simple and to the point and I applied this without a lipliner. Definitely one of my new faves.

Sleek are also cruelty free, which is a huge plus.

Any summer collections you guys are wanting to get before they leave us?
