2015 Beauty Wrap-up

Did you think for a second there that 2015 beauty ‘recap’ posts were over? Well… Let’s just say they’re not. 2015 was a pretty lax year in terms of beauty products, I only found a few gems that I religiously use! Here’s my belated 2015 beauty wrap-up!

Oskia, Beauty reviews, reviews, elleanorwears, Bourjois, Rimmel, NARS, Chanel, The Body Shop,

1. Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

I’ve already done an extensive review of this product here on my blog, but condensed, here it is. It’s awesome. Gorgeous texture and a little taste of luxury. I’ve heard rave reviews by all bloggers, so it’s definitely one to check out.

2. Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-oil

I’ve LOVED this product since I bought it earlier this year. It’s an overnight serum, which you slap on before bed. Over time, my skin got so much less dry and dehydrated. No tight feeling or dry patches on the skin, and it works like a dream. Plus it lasts a seriously long time, also Colours & Carousels reviewed it and it was brilliant.

3. Exuviance Sheer Daily Skin Protector (SPF 50)

I used this product generally over the summer, when on holiday and when in the UK (Gotta keep protected!). It’s not greasy AT ALL which is so rare with high SPFs. It also contains Titanium Dioxide, which is a known ‘non-greasy’ ingredient for foundations and SPFs. The ingredients are great for an SPF and I can’t praise it enough.

4. NARs Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Primer

I will firstly say that do not use this underneath cream eyeshadow. It goes a bit funky and it will slide off really quickly (I have no idea why). Under powder eyeshadow, it’s brilliant. Whilst quite expensive, it’s so good and lasts a seriously long time. If other eyeshadow primers have failed you, this could be one to try.

5. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in B10

Many ‘big’ beauty bloggers have also raved about this foundation. It’s an acquired taste, but it’s a great foundation for everyday wear (despite the pricetag). This bottle is virtually empty – which says a lot. And comes in great pale, yellow toned shades!

6. Maybelline Gel Liner in Brown

Why have I never tried this?! The formula is very similar to MAC’s fluidline and honestly, I prefer it. Simply, because of the difference in price-tag. It’s very creamy and good if you don’t want to splash out on a gel liner. Try this for your first gel-liner?

7. Bourjois 3-Second Mascara

Crazy volume. So much volume quickly. That’s all.

8. Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua in No. 4beauty, elleanorwears, bloggers, Bourjois, Rimmel, Lipstick,

In the picture, these two lipsticks look very similar but the formula is completely different. The Bourjois lip product is an extremely glossy almost, viva glam cyndi shade. (Throwback!) The gloss fades after a while but it does stay for a good 3-5 hours.

9. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in As You Want Victoria

I get so many compliments every time I wear this! A fabulous hot pink, bordering on red colour that makes me feel like I’m ready to take on the world. Plus the formula is so good.

What are your favourites of 2015?!

I really want to try that vitamin e serum, I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I really struggle with my skin being dehydrated so it sounds perfect 🙂
    Love Holly x

    • It’s so good!! Serums can be so underestimated, but they’re so worth it!

  • I love your photos! I really like this Oskia cleanser too. Their other one is also awesome, maybe better actually 🙂 I’ve never tried the Nars primer but keep reading such good things about it. Will pop it on my list X

    • Thank you! Ooh, I’ll have to check out the other cleanser – Do you know what it’s called? X

      • It’s called Perfect Cleanser and I really like it. xx

  • I’m obsessed with the Nars primer, definitely one of my all time favourite products! But agreed that maybe it isn’t best under cream eyeshadows, although me and cream eyeshadows don’t get on anyway!

I want to give gel liner a go again so I’ll be sure to check out Maybellines!

    • Definitely. It’s such a staple in my make-up collection nowadays. Yeah I’ve never found a cream eyeshadow that I love ya know? Forever on the search.

I also use Bobbi Brown’s Gel Liner as well – very different gel formulation but super long lasting – another tied favourite.

  • Things Sarah Loves

The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is one of my favourite skincare products that I couldn’t be without! It smells AMAZING and works to well! I recently tried the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm and I really like it so Oskia is for the morning routine and Emma Hardie for the evening – match made in heaven!

    Great post and gorgeous photos!
