A few weeks ago, I picked up the Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette whilst in North America.
And oh em gee, it’s beautiful.
I’ve been trying it out the last few weeks and enjoying it very much so for the days when I can be bothered with eyeshadow. This shit is da bomb. It’s a little bit pricey, but in honesty if you want an eyeshadow palette that can be used for loads of looks – this is a pretty fab one.
Firstly, it comes with 16 matte shades and 4 glitter ones. If you’re more into your glitter eyeshadows and are looking for that, this ain’t for you. The shades range from light vanilla shades to rich, deep purples and reds. The first column is predominantly light warm shades. The second column has deeper brown shades. The third column has darker, deeper reds and one purple. The fourth column has the darkest shades of the bunch.
And the final column has dem glitter shades.
In terms of the texture of the Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette, they’re not super buttery, but they’re not super chalky either. The texture for me is perfect, as I find these textures last longest on my eyes. Buttery eyeshadows just tend to crease on me and don’t last very long. I use these with the Urban Decay Primer Potion (original) and it works great. I do find that the darkest eyeshadows are a little more chalky than the lighter ones, so bear that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for. The glitter eyeshadows are also lovely to use and work with the matte ones.
I love the fact you can get a variety of looks with it and also the fact it comes with a freakin’ massive mirror. Plus it’s super pretty.
All in all, I think this is a pretty sweet palette. Yes it’s pricey, but if you’re looking to splash out on a staple eyeshadow palette, I’d recommend this one. I also would do your research, most fellow bloggers have all sorts of different views on this palette so have a look around.
Also on another note, I did pick up the Make Up Forever Concealer so expect that on the blog soon. *wink face*
