When I first heard about ‘Cushion Foundations’ I instantly thought ‘this is the biggest beauty Marketing gimmick I’ve heard of in a while’. And unfortunately, I was right.
The L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation comes underneath those products that is very ‘meh’. I first spotted it on Essie Button’s Channel in a haul and she mentioned that it worked for her so I immediately went out and bought it. Since I usually love everything she wears, makeup or outfit.
I’ve got dehydrated/dry skin, which means I’m a magnet for any foundation advertised as ‘dewy’ or ‘fresh-faced’.
I love the packaging of this foundation and that was one of the reasons I actually bought it. It has a neat clasp and comes with a rubbish sponge pad inside, which I did forgive it for. But all in all, it looked pretty good.
The foundation is quite lightweight in coverage. However, it feels very heavy. You know when you feel like your skin can’t breathe? Yeah, that’s what happened with this foundation.
It just looked more orange as the day went on and didn’t stay on. Who wants that?
I can’t stand foundations that feel heavy when the coverage just isn’t. I tried so hard L’Oreal Cushion Foundation, but it just didn’t happen. I’m still loyal to my Bourjois City Radiance Foundation for the time being and L’Oreal’s latest foundation addition was just a disappointment.
Have you tried this foundation? What did you think?
